My niece traced DH ancestors to the second fleet of the pilgrim fathers.
He settled Jamestown, set up a police force and became polish commissioner

I think I said Uncle had connected us to Attila the Hun, when I should have said Vlad the Impaler. I keep mixing them up with them having the same middle name!

Thanks for showing your album Hilary. Are you doing it in a 12x12?
You have some good family stories there

No, it is about 8x8. I have done all grandparents and most greats, it is much harder to do the living or parents somehow. Beyond Gt grandparents there isn’t much info apart from newspaper articles so they will probably be a photo of where they lived and about their family, occupations and anything from the press. I know about concerts and prizes in agri shows and so on.

Thanks Hilary - just another question - have you done a notebook style or used page protectors?

    How’s everyone doing ?
I managed to finish my gift album, still working on it this morning, delivered it this evening !! I was determined not to give up and save it for Christmas instead !it’s done and I can concentrate on something else now
I won’t be scrapping for a while though as we go to Egypt soon and I need to get packed and sorted. I have a retreat at end of October so hopefully I can do some catching up then. I’m totally unprepared for the retreat, I think I’ll be taking my current photos to scrap, at least I might be more up to date , I have lots of photos from 2022

Well done Alison, have a gold star and wear it with pride!

I am failing miserably. I have hardly scrapped anything this month, only 2 LOs to be precise!!! I have one that I started last night. I blame the good weather, we've been out a lot. I'm not sure I will get my Barcelona pages done for the end of this month, but I plod on.

Hilary, you have such interesting stories on your family history pages.

I've been slacking as well, sorry. I've just been so so busy with other things. I'm just going to do as much as I can at the retreat.

Ooh well done Karen, another thing ticked off

Lifes so busy isn’t it Sheila, I’m looking forward to having some dedicated scrapping time at the retreat. I’m not very organised for it though so I guess I’ll be packing everything
