I have been putting off making a decision And at this point I am thinking I'll keep it open, sponsorship or not.

Thanks for the update MaryAnne. I’m doing my best to be active but it’s hard at this time of year.
Will donations help ? I was going to send one but wasn’t sure whether to. If you’re keeping open I will go ahead
    Thanks again x

That is great news MaryAnne, it would be a shame to lose such a wealth of information.

Hi everyone. I have to confess that I don’t come on here as much as I used to but I do still check in about once a week. I have been expecting to move house before Christmas so that has been a contributing factor. Sadly it will not happen now until the new year as the lady who owns the flat that I am buying died and even though everything is done, we can’t move til probate comes through. It is supposed to be on the urgent pile because of the situation, but who knows!

Will try to do better on here in the future if the forum remains.

Every little helps, as they say. But my current thinking is to keep UKS going for at least 3 months for sure and see. Honestly, I am heartened that there are still people who really do hope it hangs around. The sponsorship money only means it doesn't cost me anything out of pocket.

Well, that's certainly good news, MaryAnne.

(Crafty Barbie, what an absolute nuisance on the house front. Sending good wishes that it can be sorted out urgently.)
(Karen, just focus on yourself for now, that's what's really important. {hugs})

I'm sorry to be absent again but this hospital stuff is just too much at present. 10 appointments the first week, only 8 the second, not sure what happened last week and I was down for 8 this week but they've cut it to 7 as it is too many. Today was a 3pm and then a 6pm so I either go home and then have to return again or sit around for hours. In the end the consultant did a phone consultation but to be honest by 6pm I really didn't feel like going at all.

Anyway, that's my excuse for not being on, no Christmas cards made, all bought but needs must. So relieved to hear that we will still be here next year though MaryAnne, a big thank you from me too.

Happy to make a donation too.

Karen, I know what you mean, I swear it's my brain that's being fried and not my arm. Take care of yourself and thinking of you.x

    Thumbs up

I haven't been active for quite a long time, but I do still check in every once in awhile. This board is where I started my crafting, first was scrapbooking, then card making, then mixed media, then back to card making, with occasional plays at Project Life scrapbooking, etc. It's also where I met my first crafting friends about 15 years (?) ago. We still meet up once a month. Now I've got the scrapbook "itch" again and I'm thinking of doing a "Book of Me" since my Secret Santa gift was a little scrapbook: 8x8, 40 pages, Kraft paper. I got some great ideas online for organising it so the flame is now flickering.

Mary Anne, you are very definitely appreciated.... I remember when it was common to log in and find about 300 online and some "regulars" posting every day or at least weekly. So I hope you will keep it going.

Just a thanks to those who bother to click the ads A tiny payout on those helps too and is appreciated.

We have Covid in the house - what fabulous timing! NOT - so you won't see me here much as I minister to the ill while trying hard to keep my immune-compromised self virus free.

    Just call me Florence...

If I don't get back, Merry Happy Healthy Christmas to all and I will see you on the other side!

MaryAnne sorry to hear about the Covid and I hope you keep yourself well. Isolation for the Covid person and lots of anti bac
Hope you manage a healthy and happy Christmas

PS I had Covid earlier in the year, isolated myself and no one else in the house caught it (but none of us have immune issues)

I hope you manage to escape it MaryAnne. Rotten timing for it. I am starting to feel those of us who haven’t had it are in the minority now.
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Lang may yer lums reek.
