    Trimmer help needed!

I need a new 12 " trimmer. I have been using the Creative Memories 12", which is brill for cutting paper, and measuring, and even has angles to cut triangles! But I have already blunted 2 blades cutting card on it! (They cost nearly £5 each!)

I need to cut Bazzil card for matting photos, and using on my LOs.

Which trimmer do you all use? Is it good for cutting card? Where can I get one from?

    Thanks lovely kind scrappers !

    Hiya Linda

I have an 18" Hama rotary paper trimmer. The blade self sharpens. There are markings on the board for trimming to A5 etc. Even angled cuts. I got it from a seller on Ebay. Can "Buy it Now" for £30.00 (occasionally ree p+P) but if you can afford to stand the time and bid, you can pick one up for around £22.00 (including p+p). I am on my second one in 2 yrs only cos the kids dropped the last one and it has never cut card or paper the same!

pm me if you want to know who the seller is!

We sell a huge number of Zision trimmers at under £10, they cut well, and the blades are really reasonable. Full 12" cut too.

It have a couple of rotary trimmers, incl. one very lightweight one, and I am expecting delivery today or tomorrow of a great big x-cut guillotine following the use of a small one that I got free from Scrapbook Inspirations - I love the guillotine - super sharp and very smooth, cuts card brilliantly!

The x-cut is on half price special offer at the moment.

Thanks everyone! I bid for the Hama one on eBay last night, and have won it for £21 (P&P extra unfortunately). It looks really substantial, just what I think I need.

But, I like the idea of a lightweight one to take to crops, so will definately look at the Zision one too. Are you sure it cuts card?

Hi Yes the Zision cuts card - I keep my blades lasting longer by cutting kitchen foil with it, but the blades are very reasonable.

The Zision cuts 12" card and paper - it is great for taking to crops as it is lightweight, reasonably priced and so are the replacement blades. And yes, it definitely cuts straight!
