Altering embossed tins?
This may be a silly question, but how do you alter a tin that has something embossed on it (eg the name of the product or manufacturer) without that embossing showing through?
I've got a lovely little Altoids mint tin that I want to alter, pref with inks, but I don't want the name to show.....

I've just covered a fox's mint tin that was embossed.. i covered it with BG which seems to have done the trick.. maybe cover it with card stock and then ink etc...?

Could you use polyfiller type thing then sand it down for a smooth finish before covering??

What about that paint that dries like handmade paper? You can apply it thick or thin
