OK, who else nipped over to Amazon and bought Encyclopedia of an Ordinary Life? I was sent a gift voucher a few months ago, but as I could only use it on the .com site I saved it and forgot about it.. I just used it up lol, two other books fell in the basket and it only cost me $8. I got it on slow shipping which says delivery after christmas but I'm signed up for Shimelle's Christmas Journal so I don't need distractions lol.

Well I am totally inspired now. I want to do something Christmassy, and I thought about Shimelle's course but was concerned that I am not really into art journalling (yet!) and of course there is the time thing. So I am going to do an A-Z of Christmas using this idea. I can mix up memories of Christmasses past and details of this Christmas, and can use hidden journalling if I want to. I have started my A-Z ideas - can anyone think of a "U" for Christmas, though?

Thanks for that link! Very inspiring! And such detailed instructions too!

Bev, I found instructions for creating the crop marks here: http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/CropMarks.htm

Seems a little bit of effort, but probably worth making a template to avoid mistakes.

wow - love it and totally inspired!

It looks like 8 1/2 by 11 so it would be 3 then 1/4 then 5 1/4 across the top - 3 blocks of 3 down separated by 1/4 and then 1 1/4 block at the bottom if that makes sense!

you could make a text box in word and use that as the template - just set the line to pale grey and cut just inside.

Me, I bought it last night as soon as I read about it here. I want to start on mine right away and it's given me great Xmas pressie ideas too. Why is it that we always find great ideas so close to Xmas so it turns into a mad rush to get it all done?!?

What a brilliant idea. I just bought an 8x11 album to do a photo a week layouts in but I think I'll give this a go instead. Thanks for the link
