Unzipping Fonts! - help!!

Hi, I wondered could some one remind me how to unzip new fonts. I downloaded them, go to extract them, then can't remember where to find the fonts thing!!

Best if you let us know what OS you are using - Windows? XP? Pro? on a Mac?

I think it is slightly different for Windows versions. On my PC (omg! can't believe I admitted publicy I have a PC in the house!) I download, extract, it goes to my desktop (but I may have had to set the location to extract to myself) then I have to drag it into the Start->Settings->Control Panel->Fonts. That's Windows 2000 Professional.
