Orlando Shopping - help me compile a list
There used to be a thread listing all the shops in Orlando, but it seems to have been lost when the library moved.
Can we start a list, stating name and location of shop and a brief review, and then it will bevery useful to link too when people ask about shops.

This is quite a nice store -it's not the most trend setting or exciting shop, but has some nice things, and it's location means its definitely worth a visit.

Store Hours: Mon.-Sat.: 10-7 p.m.

It's quite a few years since I visited here, but when I did I thought it was a very nice shop. It's not far from Orlando airport, so relatively convenient for tourists.

Scrapbook Shak
Altamonte Location
451 E. Altamonte Drive
Altamonte Springs, FL 32701
407-261-0164
This used to be in the Altamonte Mall, and I visited in 2002 and thought it quite a good shop. I have heard very mixed reports since, and I think it has changed location since then. New reviews would be great.

Crafts n Stuff
Waterford Lakes Town Center
343 N. Alafaya Trail
Orlando, FL 32828
(Next to Super Target)
Phone: 407.482.2044
Fax: 407.482.1603
This is in a fab shopping center, it's a bit out of the way for the tourist areas, but worth the drive, there is also a huge Joanns here, and there was another scrapbook shop as well, but I have heard that is no longer there.
For the non scrappers there is a Target, Old Navy and loads of other stores.
The prices in here can be very good and they take other stores coupons

Joann SuperStore
Herndon Plaza (this is near the Memories store I listed above)
3562 E Colonial Drive
Orlando, FL 32803-5147
Target At Kissimmee West
4801 West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway (This is the 192, and closest to Disney)
Kissimmee, FL 34746
Waterford Lakes Town Center (near Crafts and Stuff)
825 N Alafya Trail
Orlando, FL 32828
Town Center Plaza (near Sanford Airport, great first stop of the trip!!)
120 N Entrance Rd
Sanford, FL 32771-7416
Joann's is a general craft shop rather than a scrapbooking shop, but it's like a craft B&Q, it's massive. They have quite a large scrapbooking section, not cutting edge stuff, but prices are keen and you can often get a 40 or 50% off coupon from the paper.

Michaels
6725 S Kirkman Rd (this is the one near Universal Studios and Belz)
Orlando FL 32819-9341
1766 Sand Lake Rd (new one on the way to the Florida Mall)
Orlando FL 32809-7628
The Loop Shopping Center
http://www.attheloop.com/kissimmee/directory.htm
3278 N John Young Pkwy
Kissimmee FL 34741-7549
9649 W Colonial Dr
Ocoee FL 34761-6901
4628 E Colonial Dr
Orlando FL 32803-4304
Michaels is very similiar to Joann (although I personally prefer Joann's), it also has good coupons, and can be a good place to buy sizzix dies at a discount.

RIP Luc, forever a Canuck
I tried out 2 Joanns last October (the one in Kissimmee and the one at Waterford Lakes) - and the one in Kissimmee was the better of the two by miles
I also went to 2 Michaels - the one up the top of Int Drive is much better than the one up by the Florida Mall
Crafts n Stuff was my favourite by far, but Jakkii G went more recently than me and didn't rate it....

That address is from the Scrapbook Shak website, so I assume it's the current one, but I don't know that for sure.

Agree the Michaels at I-Drive/Kirkman is better than the one just before the Florida Mall.

It was easy to find with yahoo map directions and map.
