"Almost Leather"?
I am looking for a product called "Almost Leather" seen in May's Scrapbook Inspirations magazine -- has anyone sourced a supplier? Ebay has a seller selling just 1 sheet of it... but I kind of want more than that!
thanks

Hey Becca I'm sure I bought some of this at some stage, it was an imitation leather product from America which was kinda like funy foam. Does that sound about right? (I haven't got SI to check). I am happy to send you what I have left because I'll never use it. I'll try and remember where it is and send you a photo if you like?

That's it! I've seen it on an American site and apparently you heat the foam to get the "leather" look. That would be great, thankyou

I wouldn't mind trying some of this too - so if there are any sponsors stocking it, please let me know

Hi found an article how to make it in do crafts no 5
You just need funky foam
warm foam ...stamp with stamp keeping stamp in place till cool ..repeat with further images...rub over with sponge dipped in anitas metallic paint ...rub off excess gently Heat foam in a well ventilated space only.
hope this helps

Becca, I haven't forgotten you I promise! I had a look through all the boxes that I thought had the leather stuff in and couldn't find it the other day. I may have thrown it out but there's a couple of other places I'll check just in case. I don't usually throw stuff away so I'm sure I didn't, I just need to work up the strength to get the other boxes off the top shelf! I will do it soon, promise

The Orignal Robo Rebel
What I did was got a piece of white fun foam, coloured it with an inkpad of what ever "leather" I wanted and then scrunched up the foam. Then I gently ironed it just to flatten it out again, putting a paper bag between the foam and the iron. Repeated the scrunching and ironing process a couple of times to get some deaper creases.

Just wondering - can you use "almost leather" to cover the front page of a hand-made book?
Have never used it before - would love the chance to try it out !!!!
