Stopping the RC mid-cut if tearing paper

Is there any way to cancel a cut that's going wrong? I tried just turning it off, but it just 'finished' the job next time I turned it on. Is there a way to clear the buffer so next time it is turned on it just starts afresh?

Turn it off then when you turn it back on when it asks it says 'ready to cut' just cancel . If you don't get that window then wait a few minutes before turning it back on.
