    Question Portuguese Birthday Card

My mum has asked me to make a card for her Portuguese next door neighbour who will be celebrating her 80th Birthday.

I want to do a flower card, but would like to put something on it that represents Portugal
A Cockrell has been suggested but I am not sure.
Has anyone else got any ideas?

    Many thanks.

How about using the colours of the Portugese flag for the flowers / vase etc?

Put "Happy Birthday" on it in Portugese, there are lots of website which tell you how to say various greetings in different languages.

    Thumbs up

    Thank you both
I went for the both options - so the flower pot is red with yellow ribbon around the top and the flower is placed on a green background matted onto some red mirri card.
I then printed Happy Birthday in both English and Portuguese on acetate and attached to the card using brads.
Photo attached, Mrs Collies 80th Birthday Card 2007.jpg I hope you can see it!

So thank you both once again for your inspiration - I was stuck!
