ha ha clip it up thing

After seeing these clip it up things being made by others on here i decided to have a go myself. So a big thankyou to them for the inspration
DH bought me the length of dowel rod about a month ago, it's taken me this long to get it up. I spent hours searching the local shops for those curtain clip things without any luck.
So today i decided to get it done, I found some old circular paperclips that i have had for years and never used, i bent them and slipped a spring clip onto them, then hung them over the rod. I now have my own clip it up thingiemajigg and have recycled things that i wasn't using
Here are the pics I am really pleased with it.
The first pic shows what the clip looked like before i bent it and after i bent it.
The second is of them hanging on the rod(sorry it's sideways, but you get the idea))
The third is of the whole thing

Thats Fab!!! What a great idea - and good use of those clips - I have quite a few of those hoarded somewhere - did fancy a clip it up but didnt fancy paying all that money for it............ let us know how you get on with it - if it makes you use your stash more!

I've just done a one for my cupboard door with the argos bathroom towel holder and ikea clips - the same as the one someone had posted on here.. can't see the thread now though.

Its great and has three rows for the clips & I also used bookrings to hang my ribbons from and ive managed to get my clear stamps, all rubs ons, stickers and bundles of ribbons on there. I'll post a pic later if I get the chance.

I could use your idea too nikig as i have a smaller area under a shelf to fill...another job for DH, LOL!.
