Stop wishing for the sunshine, Start living in the rain xxx
I bought a very cheap 'over the door' towel rail from Home and Bargain (£1.99) that has 4 removable rods. I just put the reels on the rod, then put it back in its holder and hang it over the door, out of the way. Works great for me. xxx

Mine are a friend of the last two, but mark II is the improved version!
Mark 1 was a 28p bit of dowel from B&Q with bubble wrap strip wound and taped in place to stop them falling off - one dowel eventually broke from too much tooing and froing between crop nights, and a pain when you run out or want to take a spool off.
Mark 2 also from B&Q ... a length of threaded bar, a pack of nuts for the size of bar and a pack of wide washers (i.e. not thick & still smallish hole but stick out lots). Put all the spools on then at each end do a nut/washer/nut combo to keep the spools on. I think each length of bar was about £1.50 (I have two of these from all my visits to Michaels!) and about 1m long, and I think the washers & nuts hovered around the £1 each a pack and still have quite a few of those left...

Me and my Mutt
I use a box which contained a bouquet from www.moonpig.com....
Its about 4" square on the ends - but 2.5-3ft long and is ideal to hold round reels....

I got one of those pot lid rack holders from Ikea last year and turned on it's end and screwed it to the end of my unit and it holds quite a lot. Only cost around £5 if I remember correctly.
Here it is.......
Actually, I could really do with another one now I've got so many reels of ribbon

Some great ideas here! I think whatever I go for is going to have to hang off the back of my door. I love the pot rack idea but I've no where to put it!
I love seeing people's craft rooms - more pics please!
