    Swirls

How do you make your swirls in Studio? My attempts look similar to those of a 5 year old that lacks talent. I see there is a tutorial for inkscape with a swirly tool. Am I missing something in Studio? Thanks for any help.

Sara, I don't think there is an easy way to make swirls in Studio. They are a doddle in Inkscape which is one of the things I miss about it.

Why miss it. I'm not Inkscape proficient but Inkscape is free to download and the file saved there as .dfx can be imported into and used in Studio. Give it a whirl.

Ruth I agree with Ed, you can still use Inkscape save as DXF and open the files in Studio. I still use Inkscape for anything that Studio doesn't have the function for.

Sarabee - there are free swirl dingbats and loads of free SVG vector swirls you can download for putting together to make your own designs. The links are in the Useful Sites threads in the Template forum and there are lots of tutorials for using Inkscape in the Tutorial folder.

I have tried the DXF thing but it never seems very satisfactory when you get it into Studio. So if I desperately want swirls I use Inkscape though I am getting rusty on it as I don't use it so often now.
