Cutting Mats
Hi Everyone
Has anyone ever tried to make their own cutting mats. If you can use repositional spray adhesive. If you could obtain the stiff plastic you could make your own mats. I purchased some off ebay and they looked a little home made and I had to put masking tape down the edges as I couldnt get them to run as they slipped on the wheels. Anyone ever tried?
I have looked on ebay for any type of plastic sheet but havent found anything.
I like having several mats so that I can set things up and run them through the machine while I take other cuts off. Proper little production line!! Making easter baskets for a man who is in the paralympics this year and needs a new wheelchair. I have made lots and sold them all so it has been very successful. Really pleased to help this really needy cause. I still have loads of little eggs to put into baskets so will be busy this week - ready for the Easter rush.
Any suggestions?

Thanks for that I will give it a try. I thought there must be some way to make cutting mats - it is just the depth of the plastic that must be critical but it is worth a try.
thanks.

I will have a look. When you are new to the site there is so much information. I really love the template section. I have spent hours looking through. Thanks everyone for being so helpful
