lovely cards Virginia and Lesley. I have to make a card for FIL so think that eill be good for plain and simple - he won't be impressed with anything fussy !
Great cards ladies! It's so nice to see the creative fun in abundance.
I'm also glad to see that it's not just me that thinks clean and simple is harder than it looks!
Those of you who find it a doddle, I envy you! I spent longer than really necessary pushing paper around my desk and then totally reversing my original card idea because it didn't look right. hehe
And yet, it still looks like you could put it together in minutes:
Hi all, I hope it's okay that I join in again this year - I wandered away about half way through last year but it gave me such a good boost in the beginning I'd like to try again, especially the Christmas cards.
I'm already behind and as I'm away at a retreat this weekend I won't get chance to catch up straight away but in the meantime loving all the cards you clever ladies have produced so far!
'people may forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel'
Fab card seffie, that background paper is one of my faves from the Christmas card production line.
Thanks Yes, I love it too. I've only got a little bit left now and I'm hoarding it. I have a week two card here, done with an old rub-on from Pink Paislee. Does it count as clean and simple? I've got a lot to learn when it comes to card making and you are all inspring me so much already
That definitely counts as a CAS card Seffie, really pretty and bonus points for using up something old. I am still on too much of a high trying to play with newish stash, but I definitely want to make a bigger effort this year to riffle through old papers and embellishments and put them to good use at last.
But I am with you on hoarding that particular piece of paper.
Jayne, this is definitely a challenge you can easily pop in and out of - we'll be here all through 2013 so even if anyone falls behind or needs some time out then they can just pick right up whenever they want. There's no pressure to go back and do past prompts - just join in with whatever you can.
I just keep envisaging having (hopefully!) 52 Christmas cards made this year so I can relax come December. I just hope that vision keeps me going through the summer months!
Shelley - welcome along! Look forward to seeing your cards once you get the chance to make them.
Great cards from everyone so far. I am hoping to join in again this year, I dropped out sometime during last year as my mojo upped and left. I don't know if I will manage a Christmas card every week but I will try.
Here is my week 1. My "New" element is the Woodgrain embossing folder.
