I use it for glazing my books like this. The cover is ordinary mountbaord, with ordinary printed paper over the top. With the DG 'wash' (1 water to 4 DG) it becomes a hard back and very durable.
I've also used it to glaze individual items with less water where I've mixed water colours to give a coloured glaze. Just mix the watercolour as normal to the right colour and then mix with the DG.
Before gazing, make sure your cover is stuck down all over the mount board and fairly tight, to avoid wrinkling - I cover the mountboard with Pritt then stick the cover on, pressing out any airbubbles.
